Our Initiatives
Flint Hills Wisdom Keepers Foundation is an Indigenous/Indigenous Ally-led educational nonprofit rooted in nearly five decades of cultural preservation, mentorship, and community-based learning. Our initiatives are guided by Native Elders and cultural leaders and are designed to strengthen identity, language, creativity, and intergenerational connection.
Each initiative creates meaningful pathways for Native youth, reconnecting Native descendants, and respectful allies to engage, learn, and support the continuation of Indigenous knowledge.

Inclusive Pathways for Learning & Allyship
Flint Hills Wisdom Keepers Foundation creates respectful learning opportunities for non-Native participants who wish to support Indigenous communities. These pathways emphasize cultural humility, listening, and responsible engagement under the guidance of Native leadership.

Native Performing & Visual Artists Initiative
We support Native performing and visual artists whose work preserves, interprets, and advances Indigenous cultural expression. This initiative provides opportunities for artists to share their work through community events, exhibitions, performances, and educational workshops.
By honoring artists with visibility and fair compensation, we ensure that cultural expression remains a living, evolving force within our communities.

Indigenous & Native Student Scholarships
Access to cultural education should never be limited by financial barriers. Our scholarship program offers discounted or fully funded participation for Indigenous students attending cultural events, workshops, mentorship programs, and educational gatherings.
These scholarships support Native youth and reconnecting descendants in deepening their connection to culture, community, and identity while fostering long-term engagement and leadership.

Language Preservation & Outreach Programs
Language is the foundation of culture, worldview, and ancestral memory. Our language preservation programs support Elder-led instruction, community language circles, immersion opportunities, and educational outreach.
Through in-person and digital programming, we work to ensure Indigenous languages remain spoken, taught, and passed forward to future generations.
Year-Round Community Events & Gatherings
We host seasonal and year-round events that bring together Elders, youth, artists, families, and allies in culturally grounded spaces. These gatherings offer opportunities for learning, celebration, healing, and community building.
Each event is designed with cultural protocols, accessibility, and community needs at the forefront.

Looking Forward
As we continue to grow, our initiatives remain rooted in community trust, Elder guidance, and long-term sustainability. Through education, mentorship, language revitalization, and creative expression, we are building a future where Indigenous knowledge is protected, honored, and alive.
