WHITE MEMORIAL CAMP

White Memorial Camp is located on a peninsula that extends into Council Grove Lake and is surrounded by the amazingly lush Flint Hills of Kansas, a range of large hills covered by tallgrass prairie in the center of the country. The camp offers 186 acres of beauty for hiking, exploring, solitude, play, or just relaxing. The hills, Council Grove Lake, wooded coves, and 37 miles of shoreline all serve to refresh and inspire you. The Flint Hills are home to some of the last remaining tallgrass prairie in the world. Soaring and diving from hilltop to valley along one of the quiet country highways through the Flint Hills will quickly challenge your notions of prairie. Flat? Not here. Empty? Not if you look closely. The continent's largest remaining tract of tallgrass is also one of America's unique places, harboring a wealth of adventure, beauty, and history.

Winterized stone cottages house bedrooms (comfortable bunks, four to a room) and full bathrooms with showers on each side of the cabin. Our meetings happen in the stone cottages many with fireplaces and wonderful views. All cabins have a living room area, complete with small kitchen area and in some cases, a fireplace. Meals are eaten in the main stone lodge, the Main Gathering takes place there, as do some of the meetings.
